What is it about southerners? They whinge if it rains, they whinge when it snows, it even makes the national news. The latest in a long line of whinging is the Kings Cross train debacle. Again this has made the national news headlines, network rail boss has had to forgo his bonus and there are questions being asked by government.

So, some much needed engineering works overran, folk missed a few hours of shopping - big deal. We had years of disruption when the west coast mainline was upgraded. That didn't make national news headlines, we didn't demand anyone's head, we simply got on with life.

No wonder the Aussies call the Brits 'whinging poms'. If based on southerners they do have a point.

You're whinging about people whinging. The other day you were whinging about young people.

Maybe you're the problem?

I always knew giving the North the Internet was a bad idea, next thing they'll be letting the Welsh have access and all hell will break loose.

Meanwhile in the north - parents continue to eat their own children for sustenance until the 'panda pop crisis' comes to an end.

People are complaining about railway lines being UPGRADED. We still have bloody steam trains in Wales, and diesel trains that have been in service since the early 80s. Lavished with upgrades and they STILL complain, HS2 makes my blood boil as it is SUCH a waste a money. Electrify the rest of the UK before spending money on making one of the better served areas even better.

Just this week: http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/arriva-trains-wales-investigate-claims-8364004

Overcrowded trains? Never.

Welshman checking in. :D

1. No I'm making an observation.

2. I wasn't whinging about young people I was relating a conversation that had taken place by others down the pub. I asked what other people thought.

If you are going to comment about me then at least get it right.

No such thing as "the midlands", that's just northerners in denial. North of the M25 and you're northern.

On that factual basis too, most of those whining are therefore northerners kicking up a fuss about being able to visit our city and our shops :p
