Don't you just hate it when someone you know very well has become so badly whipped its ridiculous?

believe it or not I'm talking about my Dad!

Now his gf...I don't like...she's a money grabbing bitch who wants Dad for his money and that's it...but I won't go into that.

Now I work Monday to Friday, 9.30 - 5.30 - plus travelling time. I also do work at home - like fixing laptops/pc's for people and some photography work as well. So I'm always pretty busy, my only free time is Friday and Saturday night and Sunday. These are my days/time off - I do what I want during this time...and that's the end of it - Because all the other time, I'm working.

Now I get home from work Friday night, absolutely exhausted - it has been a particularly mental day, and don't forget I'm also ill!! ...second I get in Dad is on my case

Him: "What are you doing tonight?"
Me: "Nothing till 9, then I'm going to meet up with a friend, why?"
Him: "I need you to come over Maxine's, her laptop is broken!"
Me: "Right..."
Him: "Can you come and have a look at it?"
Me: "No..."
Him: "Why not, you said your not doing anything until 9"
Me: "Yes Dad, and in that time I'm going to have some dinner, have a shower and chill for 10 minutes"
Him: "But I said you would come and have a look at it"

Now this is one of the most annoying things someone can do! say I'll do something without asking me first! So now Dad is basically panicking - in the end I said I'd go and pick it up and that's it. I'm not working on it until Monday - I specifically stated this. So I goes and gets it and nobody tells me when they need it for.

It stays in the car over the weekend, I haven't touched it.

Fast-forwarding to tonight...

been with my mates all day - now I've come in to play some CoH - Dad gets in at 9 and says

Him: "Have you done it?"
Me: "err...what?"
Him: "The laptop"
Me: "No, I said I wasn't going to touch it till tomorrow"
Him: "Well that's not good enough"
Me: "excuse me? I said this to you both on Friday night and BOTH of you said that'd be fine"
Him: "Well she needs it for tomorrow, she's working from home"


Ensue an arguement - ending with me turning round and saying tough **** you should have said this before and you know I don't work on Sunday's

So what do I do? stick to my guns and do it tomorrow? give the pesky bitch what she wants and fix it tonight?

What's your relationship like with your dad? Only you know at one point somebody normally has to give in.

I'd stick to my guns and take it back to her directly. If she wants to complain, let her do it directly to you.

95% of the time it's bang on. We get on really well, have a good laugh together and in general quite close. The second she is involved I walk away, I don't like her and he changes completely to some helpless waiter who wants to do nothing but please.

As I said above then, just tell him you'll sort it and get it back to her when you originally said. It's not up to him to put times on it if she'd already agreed Monday was fine.
 
id do it now and get her to pick it up its just easier sometime sbut get ya cash first if they wanna be funny with ya
