you know if your lucky if you touch the back of a HDD without grounding your self after walking around on carpet in socks without grounding your self you can get a "kernel stack in (ffs can't remember last part, will edit it in after pc crashes next >.>)" which crashes about 30 - 4.5 hours into using the pc

So err you know if you still have the laptop

Seriously now, you should simply tell the woman yourself that you do not have the time to look at until whatever day you are available. How difficult is that? If she doesn't like it she will go to somebody else and presumably not bother you again. I know you have already fixed it so if the next time arises tell her straight.
