Does anyone have experience of selling whisky at auctions?
I have three bottles that I was considering selling and contacted the whisky exchange and they recommended https://whisky.auction/

Anyone have experience of this and was it positive?

These were the bottles I was considering selling:

Fortnum & Mason LBV Port 1998
Dalwhinnie 15 100 year edition 1998
Dalwhinnie the distillers edition(1980) Special Release/Limited Edition
Glenrothes Distilled 1987 bottled 2000

Prices seem to vary quite wildly based on the auctions I have seen.

A single bottle, no.
As part of a group then yes.
I have a bottle of this ( https://www.thedramble.com/tastings/glentauchers/glentauchers-2008-8-year-old-single-cask-900184/ )
This is a friends blog site (new but they haven't had time to do it before). Contact the website and they will give you details. I go to their tasting sessions and they are very helpful and keen to talk to other whiskey enthusiasts.
They also know the auction sites and prices to look out for as well as various people in the trade.

I've bought a bottle from this whisky online auction house before. They have a good reputation. I think they collect bottles from sellers in advance and then send them out themselves. The bottle I had arrived promptly and was well packed.
