Whistling in work Yea or Nay?

Nay! Would be very distracting whilst trying to concentrate if it was a regular thing.

When you are in close proximity to others in an office environment, a lot of habits can become annoying that might not be if you were not subjected to it regularly.

We had someone who used to constantly tap his feet and type his keyboard really loudly - you could feel the tension on him. Not exactly conducive to a relaxed working atmosphere....

Does anyone else have a thing about people whistling in work or just being overly loud in general with their personality? Do you just bottle up the feelings or do you speak your mind?

Whistling should be punishable by being hung upside-down over a scorpion pit opposite a sign that says STFU. I hate it.

I guess yay but for the most part it's a "don't care".

Certainly is a welcome improvement over your generic motor mouth. At least with them there is no expectation that you have to listen or engage in conversation.

Buy some Bose noise cancellers if you're the type to get offended.

I hate people whistling in work, completely unnecessary distracting noise.

Headphones are a god send.

No, the only thing worse was to hear two people sitting behind me eating their lunch with their mouths open. I find it utterly disgusting and ends up with me filling up in a genuine rage, I think it the effect is called misophonia. As McBain said headphones are a godsend.
