White MacBook case stains

I have a late 2007 white MacBook and have read about people having problems with the case staining. However, all the reports I've read seem to be to do with discolouration to the palm rest.

I have blue/purple stains from resting the machine on my lap whilst wearing jeans - the heat seems to have caused the dye in the jeans to colour the plastic around the rear of the machine.

Anybody else heard of this? Is this a design fault?

Yes, I'd be taking those jeans back because they've leaked dye.

In all seriousness, it seems to be a common problem for the whitebook - I was looking for a neoprene sleeve for my MBP and a lot of reviews for one particular type were saying that it stains the whitebook.

I'd be tempted to give Apple a call and see what they can do for you.

I probably could have worded it better

I was trying to get away from the word 'stains'...
