White meat eaters beware

Oh NOES !!!! Pork or beef in my chicken :eek::eek: !!!!!

,

Why care about some meat in your meat so you can eat meat while you're eating meat ?

I doubt anyone would notice/care:

The swindle was only detected by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) using new scientific techniques because the non-chicken material had been so highly processed it passed standard DNA tests.

So, DNA wise, it's just chicken...

Also, the bollards about religious groups eating pork + beef etc, it was hardly deliberate or voluntary, and it would be such a small amount....Bet it was the best "chicken" they've ever eaten, finger lickin' good! ;)

Just go atheist and eat what you like, WIN!

Beware what? What am I supposed to do if I eat white meat at a restaurant or from a supermarket? Do some tests on it first?

No, send it off to the FSA, since normal DNA tests will confirm that you're just eating chicken....

It needs new scientific methods to detect the other meat in ur meat.

Personally I think some lab tech at the FSA didn't wipe the probe after they tested the pork/beef and there was some residue left on it when they tested the chicken

The point is, it's not meat in your meat.

It's bone and gristle added to you're meat.

If you don't know it don't matter right?

Now you do know. Ugh

In a powder form to help retain water inside the breast...You're unlikely to find a pork scratching in the middle of your chicken breast...well maybe at KFC

I'm just not quite sure why it's such a big problem? Or is the problem simply that you find powdered bone and gristle being used as a bulking agent disgusting?

Personally, I don't give two hoots as long as it tastes, looks and feels like chicken.
