White NZXT H440 Gaming Build

Hi all,

Just a few more pictures of my computer. I have installed the Kingston HyperX SSD. Its all finished for now. I added a strip of LED lights inside that I made myself out of some LED strip tape I had from another project. Little bit of solder and a an old molex connector and bam, some case lights!

Everything went really smooth, and the service from Overclockers was excellent. The MSI GTX 780Ti Gaming addition is a beast, the OC settings are amazing!

Now the waiting for My Oculus Rift DK2 is becoming unbarable!!

That is one hell of a good looking case! I'm so tempted to switch over to one for a while and try it out.

I'm struggling with airflow with my Matx case atm and this would solve a lot of my issues

Very nice build! :D

Thanks for the comments!! I have another Kingston HyperX SSD on order and also some white braided cables too. I will post some more pictures when I have it all installed!

For anyone interested in my 3DMark score here it is. The CPU is at 4.4Mhz and the memory is stock 1600 and the 780ti is at its stock overclock. Im not really clued up on 3DMark results but it sais its better than 93% of other results.

Some more pictures, I have added the braided cables and SSD drives, now I just have to wait on my backplate for the graphics card and I think its all done!!

Very nice mate! Love the colour theme! Are you planning on cooling that gpu at any point?

Just finished my build (almost) with the h440 black and red.

Thanks man, yer they are great cases! Im not sure about the water cooled gpu to be fair. I already got carried away with this build, I was supposed to upgrade my old computer not practically buy a whole new one lol!

I may look into water cooling if I decide to go SLI in the future, but for what im using this for a SLI configuration would produce micro stutter with the Oculus Rift, which is not good for immersion in VR.

Great build!

I'm also looking into a new build - ready for the DK2 arrival. I'm tempted by the H440 case. How do you find the cooling? I'd read reports of restricted air flow.

Then again I've read the same reports for the 750D that's currently on my list. Arghh, I hate pre-buying nerves...!

Here's what I'm thinking of :

**CPU** |[Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor]
**CPU Cooler** |[Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler]
**Motherboard** |[MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard]
**Memory** |[\*Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory]
**Storage** |[Crucial M550 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive]
**Storage** |[Hitachi Ultrastar 7K3000 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard
**Video Card** |[\*MSI GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB TWIN FROZR Video Card]
**Case** |[\*Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case]
**Power Supply** | [\*EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply]
**Optical Drive** |[Pioneer BDR-209DBK Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer]
**Operating System** |[Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)]

Hey, yer I read the same reports regarding cooling. I think it may be a little restricted due to the nature of the venting on the case but I have now upgraded all the fans to Corsair Air series fans. My CPU stays at around 55 degrees and motherboard is at 27 on full load, in a warm room!

So all in all the H440 seems fine to me for cooling purposes. Its a great case, and very nice too look, easy to use with lots of space!

Enjoy your DK2, mine should be arriving in July sometime fingers crossed, I cant bloody wait!

SNIP

Friend has the 450D (smaller version of the 740D) and its been amazing for cooling, he also has the same CPU cooler as you, and we just added some Airflow fans, CPU is at 4.6ghz and sits at around 50~, gpu is a 290 but it never goes over 80c. All in all most of these cases are pretty awesome.

Hey all,

Just an update. I had Coldzero make a custom backplate for my 780ti.

Missing a couple of bolts, but he is sending them over. Was easy to install, and he did a great job.

Here are some pics.

And that backplate... wow. All GPU's should come with nice backplates, especially the expensive ones. I don't get why more companies don't do it as it will greatly help to make the sale.
