White van scraped my lil bro's car and tried to drive off. Police were called and now he denies ever

As i said, if you weren't there, your forming your judgement based on a totally none indepenent view of events.

So without knowing both sides of the story, you're perfectly happy to cause potential harm to this guys business? Someone you don't know, and someone who may or may not have been at fault for this collision.

I'd consider that before you continue.

I don't think anyone is being serious, and what sort of numpty has either not even registered a domain they have plastered all over their vehicle(s) or let it lapse?

Sounds fishy to me.. ;)
 
If the op account is how it is then id say van drivers fault tbh, If this wasn't the case then how comes when learning to drive you are taught when parallel parking if traffic approaches you stop dead even if you are blocking that lane.

If then the other car hits you.. how on earth is it your fault?

Its not the domain name thing lol, but the mentioning of the company name in the posts several times.

I'm not exactly sure but i think the sole intention is to flag this thread when someone types the company name into a search engine? I could be wrong and if so ignore me, but i think thats the intention ;)

e.g Some random hears about the company and wants some work done, whatever it is this person does for a living. They type his company name into google for his details, and this thread appears in the search results because the company name has been mentioned a few times. They read the thread and will obviously have the pleasure of reading all this?

meh maybe i've misunderstood?

It's not the first time I have heard / seen this.

Many people just advertise a WWW to make it look or sound good etc....

I would be happy as ****ing larry if a van had scraped its entire length down my car and thats all the damage there was.

There is nothing you can do, and personally, I would be inclined to side with the van driver, as what sort of idiot hangs their car in the middle of the road pointing out, neither going for it, or moving back in to let the traffic with the RIGHT OF WAY pass ?

Sorry to sound harsh, but you never should trust a white van, you know how they are driven...

If I had been be in that situation I would have either reversed back in and with a bit more patience waited for the traffic to clear, or just ****ing gunned the throttle to get out infront of the van.

The indecision in taking either one of those two courses of action is what has caused this problem in the first place.

Not sure why the internet heros are getting their keyboards ready for this... its a minor scrape not a puppy throwing incedent ffs!!

not the worst damage in the world, an hour or two with t-cut will fix the worst of it

as for the van driver just go and set fire to his cat or something because I doubt you will get any money from him or his company, lesson learnt and cat burnt, win win

Sounds a harsh appraisal, of course you are entitled to that opinion, but it kind of reads like someone that seems to exonerate a burglar because their victim left a window open or something..

If it went as per the OP's description, are you saying that Van driver is 100% right to drive through a gap his van can't fit through? I'm with you on the 'should have only pulled out when clear to do so', but I'm not with you on the 'Van has right of way'.

But I totally agree that without solid witnesses you wouldn't stand a cat in hells chance of getting a 'win' insurance wise, and he is indeed lucky that the damage is relatively light, so the worst case isn't so bad..

It would appear, from the description above, that the driver for JB ASSET CARE has been naughty and is likely at fault. It would also appear to me that I would not with to deal with JB ASSET CARE on a buisness level, and I feel this particular member of the JB ASSET CARE team requires further training on how to deal with members of the public.

Hell, whenever I get into a Transit, I suddenly start driving like Sabine Shmidt at the Nurburgring.
