I don't *hate* it, but I certainly think it is overhyped and too commercial. Not gonna complain though as any excuse for a break is always welcome

I quite like the gasps from the family when I tell them we don't have a tree though.

I hate the decorations, they're usually very tacky and waste energy. I hate the consumerism of it all, we have to spend lots of money or we're bad people :rolleyes:

I hate the religious overtones too

I used to love christmas but this year everytime I hear a christmas song or see things christmas related i get a feeling of resentment. It's because christmas is the same damn theme every year and it truly bores me now. DOWN WITH CHRISTMAS.

We get a tree tbh, to be "normal", my parents make a big deal of it all. I just see it as another day now, either that or just a time for arguements.

I love Christmas, it's the only time I get to meet all my old mates from home and get out for a proper drink with them all. Couple that with the darm misty night, festive atmosphere and a quare load of whiskey it's my favourite time of the year

I love christmas.

But hate this particular one... first christmas i have to spend travelling about from one parent to the other as its the first christmas im in a "broken" family.

so i cant really relax. jsut back from uni too so its all a bit too much of a hassle.

but at least ill be getting 2 dinners, plus my grans which is out of this world. awesome....

having to meet the new "family" too....mam and dads new partners.... so its all very new.

My 2 best mates are not celebrating it this year, one is really on the bones of his ass, and one is on a boat of the coast of cameroon. Won't get on the "proper" drink till the 29th when he gets back.
