Who else is getting fed up of fat people trying to get the world to revolve around them?

The following quote is what has motivated me to make this thread:

Sky News said:
Most believe labels should detail how many teaspoons of sugar are in soft drinks, as this is a more understandable measurement than grams.

It has motivated me to make this thread because I personally had no clue what the mass of something that fits in a teaspoon is, yet I know EXACTLY what a gram is. Laugh if you want but I had to Google what the mass of a teaspoon of sugar is. Some sources say it's 4g and some say there's actually .2g extra so 4.2g. That's the thing, a teaspoon is volumetric.

OK fair enough I, as well as most other people, are able to understand relative values, whether it's in grams or teaspoons, I can adapt. But why cater for retardation in the first place? Why not just say "Hey wait a minute fatty, how in the name of **** is the mere abandonment of grams as a measure of mass going to stop you being fat???"

Next the fatties will be saying it's easier to measure meals by the plateload lmao. A pound of steak will be a plateload of steak soon simply due to failures in education as well as the prevalence of retardation. :(

At this rate, in 100 years everybody will be forced to eat cardboard because fatties gonna fat.

Maybe that's the goal? Become fat enough that world actually does revolve around them thanks to a greater gravitational pull.

For the record I understand the grams labeling rather than teaspoons. Plus it's consistent with the rest of the information.

/ginger stepchild....

Erm where does it say overweight people are asking for this? It seems more likely to me that the people asking for this are not overweight themselves.

The ironic thing is, that the people lobbying for this probably aren't the fat people..

And your OP was pointless really, you understood perfectly fine the reasoning and thought behind it, you just wanted to say fatty a few times :p

You do realise that any teaspoon equivalent measurement will be in addition, not replacing the nutritional value in grams? This is a non-issue.

I am pleased for you, your life is good, you have nothing else to worry about other than this, you have won.
It's actually very serious.

The more we cater for obesity and allow it to flourish by making life better and easier for fat people, the more we are ruining humanity as a species.

So because stupid people/kids can't understand something you label this a fat problem and that it is a fat person's fault...

You mention stupid and education in the post yet continue to blame fat/over weight people for this issue lol

jesus man take your meds or something today of all days where people are voting to alter the lives of 60million people you think that explaining an amount of sugar in something as weird as a teaspoon is a big deal for renewal ?

a teaspoon of sugar is probably the most common measurement of sugar you will ever see in your British life tbh this makes complete an utter sense in the big scheme of things. You have tacked on some random fat BS, i dunno if you are having a bad day or what.

How much flour is in that cake ? 2 cups ? I mean wtf if that all about....

I mean why do people compare lengths to Football pitches?
Why do people compare time to Units of Kettles boiling?

get a grip bruv :p

I know you edited the thread and im joking too but it really aint a big deal

So you don't see an issue with dumbing things down?

No, absolutely not. People need to understand the implications of what they eat. Statistically, it's the poorest and least educated people who have the most unhealthy diets and giving information in terms they can relate to is crucial for public health. And I'm not just talking about obesity, you can be a normal weight and still suffer from type 2 diabetes from sugar intake.
