can you tell me a little more about them please?

i'm seeing some for sale 'fully loaded' does this mean free sky sports, movies, tv shows we don't get in the uk etc?

are they streamed through broadband would 8meg be enough?

are they on demand or are they live stream only or is there a record facility?

i currently watch my smart tv through a sky box in one room and an external areial in another would this be sufficient to view?

sorry for the noob q's.

If you've got an Android smartphone or tablet then it's basically the same interface and functionality as that; the main difference being you're not tied to a phone provider's portal.

I haven't seen anyone doing "Free Sky TV" via any of the platforms (Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, Android etc) unless running the Sky+ App for Sky Go off the back of their existing contract.

Solutions for pirating Sky do exist. It's a special satellite box which works in place of a regular Sky box. It still needs the cable connection to the satellite dish, so one of the media streamers isn't going to work as an alternative. I can't say too much more here ;) The BBC did an expose on it a few months ago. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-26052012

Back to the Android boxes, the range of streamed content you can access depends partly on your view of one-leggedness arrrgh Jim Lad and also your ISP's view of the same thing. Just like you can with a PC, there's apps you can run that (potentially) let you stream content from numerous sources.

if you decide get android stick just make sure its a decent one as most dont do full hd i personally would get a rasperry pi off the bay with xbmc loaded they are stable and full hd playback and come with loads free addons
