Who has gone from jailbroken 1.1.2 to 1.1.3?

I did using the jailbreak and unlock in under 3mins thread application.

That's also known as the ZiPhone method :)

Certainly the easiest as it can handle the unlocking and jailbreak on out-of-the-box phones, thus negacting the need to downgrade>upgrade>jailbreak>upgrade.

It will also handle jailbroken phones too.

Well zibri recommends restoring.

Source? Would be interesting to see.

How did you downgrade back to 1.1.2?

I'm sure it was in ziphine 1.0 zip file in the txt file, I would post a link but I'm on my iPhone now so its not possable to cut and paste.

From Ziphone 2.4 troubleshooting file......

"The best case is to run ZiPhone on a cleanly restored 1.1.3
phone"

He mentions restoring to 1.1.3 throughout the readme and doesnt say UPDATE.

As for going back to 1.1.2 i did it the old way as it was before ziphone, but now i wonder if you can just restore to 1.1.2 the ziphone it, cant see why not?

Its a simple bit of advice, its worth making sure the apps you require work on 1.1.3 before going over to it.

And restoring is a better idea, didnt you do an itunes update abit ago and had a unhackable iphone until the jailbreak/ziphone, nobody wants that do they;)

Right so now it looks like I'll use one of the sim apps to backup her contacts then do a 1.1.3 restore. Followed by ziphone.

Sound good?

But do you restore it on an OOTB new untouched iPhone or a jailbroken one. There is a massive difference!

I thought any restore removes the jailbreak, it always has for me when i downgraded, i cant see why it would be any different restoring to 1.1.3 :)

If anyone is unsure just have a look on hackingt0sh or MMI forums, they are full of answers :)

Only if its in restore mode..

Well what other modes are possable? (genuine question)

You can restore the phone after you plug it in - the phone works fine, you just plug it in and click restore. Iirc, this bricks a jailbroken phone.

The other option is to put the phone into restore mode, and then plug it into iTunes so it recognises it as a iPhone in restore mode. Then you can roll it back to 1.1.1 or whatever. You are able to downgrade because the phone will only go into restore mode if there is a serious issue with the firmware which requires a re-install.

Ah, i always did the "put the phone into restore mode" so only knew you could do it that way, didnt know you could restore after plugging it in :)
