Not really worried, if it goes it goes I suppose. Not much I can do about it. It's well ventilated so I doubt it will overheat.

Funnily enough I'm getting more lock ups this week than Ive ever had, since playing lego. Sure it's coincidence

I read somewhere that Lego Star Wars was buggy and it was the software causing the lock ups and not the hardware.

Had a core from launch but was replaced ...

Current one (which was new not refurbished):

Manufacture Date: 2006-01-01
Usage: 9/10 months of heavy use, 20-40 hours a week + 15 hours DVD usage
System Type: Core (+ Hard Drive)

So, not bad really.

I am on my 4th Xbox now with my warranty coming to an end. Bottled it and paid for a years service plan with Microsoft.

I bet I have no more problems from this day forth!!!

Pretty much the same here, bought on launch and has been played quite a bit although not a lot lately as too busy with other things.

No problems apart from the noise of it drives my head in sometimes.

Question:
Are the newer models with different DVD drives really any quieter?

MrM3 add me get you sometime (ibmatix)

Mine says 2006 4 7, so I'm assuming that's manufacture date of 7th April 2006? Not really played it that much to put it under stress yet but I'm hoping if it does die it's within warranty period.
