Who has XFire with problem/no problem drivers.

That seems like fan profile issues or other issues because that is not a common issue with that game at all with ATI drivers.

Most of the issues are on NV cards with that game.
i Always set the fan to 100% for games, i have one of those Accelero XTREME coolers.

Thank you chaotic_uk for pointing out that Starcraft 2 doesnt support xfire, that helped to a point, but the main problem it seems with Starcraft is that the menus and cutscenes don't have limited framerates, as it was in these when my card was going mental even at low settings!

The fix:
Go to the library Documents (if you’re on Windows 7). The actual file path is: C:\Users\[username]\Documents

Inside the documents folder open: Documents\StarCraft II\variables.txt

Add the following two lines to the variables.txt anywhere:
frameratecapglue=30
frameratecap=60

Now I can play with Ultra settings at high resoltion :D

5970 on 10.4. Tried installing 10.7s, but kept locking up windows. Had to use driver cleaner (first time ever). Eventually installed 10.7s and got hard lockups in Sims 3 - didn't notice problems anywhere else. Am now using 10.4s, but will give 10.8s a try when they come out.
