Been wondering why my room has been so warm lately
Back to good old 10.4 i think!
Has anyone noticed that newer drivers make their cards run warmer in games?
Hmm, but some of the games, like Just Cause 2 suddenly became unplayable at the settings i was using on older drivers as it was exceeding 110 degrees ... can hardly call that 'better GPU optimization'![]()
5970 on 10.5 hotfix.
Only issue I'm having trouble with is the 'cold bug'. Get lots of artifacting and crashes in 2D mode when GPU 2 drops below 40°C. Card is 100% stable in anything demanding, just not idle![]()
Quadfire Sapphire 5970 4GIG cards on 10.7a. No issues, except it takes ages to open sound devices in control panel if quadfire is enabled.
Same problem here with 5870 crossfire,i just disabled both the cards sound settings in device manager.
