Who has XFire with problem/no problem drivers.

10.7's 4870 CF. Had massive stuttering on MW2. Need to do some more testing as I was using a newly installed SSD (C300) on Windows 7 64 but I'm sure it's the new drivers.

4870x2

10.4's

No issues.
I recently upgraded from 10.4 to 10.7 on my 4870x2 because of problems with Starcraft 2 .... but with 10.7 the Memory clock refuses to reset to 2D values :( Stuck at 507 / 900

Been wondering why my room has been so warm lately

Back to good old 10.4 i think!

Has anyone noticed that newer drivers make their cards run warmer in games?

If there is optimization to utilize the GPU better then the GPU will naturally run hotter.

Think Kombuter.

Hmm, but some of the games, like Just Cause 2 suddenly became unplayable at the settings i was using on older drivers as it was exceeding 110 degrees ... can hardly call that 'better GPU optimization'

5970 on 10.5 hotfix.
Only issue I'm having trouble with is the 'cold bug'. Get lots of artifacting and crashes in 2D mode when GPU 2 drops below 40°C. Card is 100% stable in anything demanding, just not idle

HIS 4870X2

10.6 drivers were borked,
10.7 drivers also borked,
10.4 drivers working no problems at all so far. :)

Quadfire Sapphire 5970 4GIG cards on 10.7a. No issues, except it takes ages to open sound devices in control panel if quadfire is enabled.

Same problem here with 5870 crossfire,i just disabled both the cards sound settings in device manager.

2 x 5770's never had any BSOD with any drivers some perform better than others but no real issues.

Currently using the 10.7's and they seem fine to me playing SC2, APB and Global Agenda.

4870x2.

On 10.4 or 10.5 (more likely 10.5) with no problems.

10.6 caused BC2 to crash on load, haven't looked at 10.7 yet.
