Who is addicted to TF2?

btw, even though I have over 3000 hours in TF2, I have literally never spent more than 15 minutes in an idle server. I went in there once to see what they were like. Killed a few people and left. All my hours are genuine, I just really enjoy the game. I've been playing competitive at a decently high level (division 3 ETF2L) for over a year. And I'm a huge jump fan. Without sounding too arrogant I'm one of the better jumpers in TF2. I've spent over a 1000 hours in jump servers.

Don't normally enter these things but thought it would give it a try

Only 959 hours for me buuut i had a problem with my stats not tracking and had to reset them its properly double that.

I also play Competitive tf2 :)

P.s i hope its not purely based on play time cause some people spent a lot of time idling in servers for hats and items.

6v6 or highlander?

Yeah - what is it with idle servers? What is the point - seems people generally just, well, idle and die a lot?

To get items. It's not so common anymore since Valve have change the drop system. But it used to work in such a way that the longer you had the game open, the more item drops you would get. Now the system is you only get a certain number of items drops a day, and a maximum number per week. If you idle in servers then you hit your week cap very quickly, so there's no point. It's easier to just play the game whenever you can.

I've never cared for items personally. ETF2L bans all the weapons except kritz, ubersaw and the crossbow. So I've gotten used to just using the default weapons, they're the best anyway.

Ah, I see, thanks. Don't really understand the logic behind people doing it to be honest. Why would you want items etc if you don't even play the game enough to use them?

It's because your profile is private, when you switch it to public you'll be able to search for yourself :)
Hmm, you're right, my profile was private. Changed it to be public but search still doesn't show me - perhaps it takes a while for the servers to update. Thanks :)

I think the idea was to idle to get the item they wanted then stop.

played tf2 since closed beta , if steam game timer was invented before would probably have around 6k hours on it , now its at 2k hours since the timer has started 2 years ago me thinks

I love TF2, if only because I sold a single virtual hat for cash which paid way for my new pc (in signature).

The hat in question being a Burning Team Captain (the most expensive hat in the game).

I haven't played much TF2 as of late, as i've grown to lose interest what with the lack of gameplay change. It seems valve seems to care more to add more aesthetics to the game. I do have 1,100+ hours logged on the game, despite my recent change of opinion on the game.

I do have a rather interesting backpack though.

4 Guys here, posted their profile and have played a lot of hours! :)

If one of you guys are wanting a little something from me, just Trust me your address and I shall pop it in the post. :)

Thanks! :] Unfortunately since I am quite new to these forums, I am unable to find the place where such a message of my address could get to you.

As far as I know, private messaging is quite limited on here?

On my post it should say "Trust" near the "Edit" button, on there you should be able to send me a message. You may need to set it up first. :)

Can I have a prize for being the least addicted? Tried it a few years ago and managed about 2 hours total :p

Dread to think how much time I've spent on QuakeII/Q3A/Q4/Live though!

oh just noticed we getting something are we getting some tf2 related thing ? or something else

edit: or steam related ?
