The red path is the slip road for the A27 (West-bound)

Go there with a camera, also these pictures wont help you mate if he was in the left lane and cut accross while going onto the slip road, or was he in the right going under and the left cut him up?
my mate is the red circled one can he go round to the right or not.or can he only go left from his position?

So I think the OP's friend is clearly in the wrong here. He can only go 'left', and it sounds like he tried to go right.
