We used to be at a stage where one of the "cons" about pc was having to upgrade regularly, nowadays if you buy smart you can have a rig that lasts a few years and people still complain.

I can guarantee if every release was a massive jump in improvement, people would likely complain too.

I don't think they care tbh, I think it's a case of any sale is a bonus.

Intel mainstream has been poor since Sandy Bridge imo, they are just packaging mobile centric processors in the cheapest way possible (TIM etc), unlocking them and then putting a high price tag on them, the one good thing about them is they have the most up-to-date motherboards.
