Who is "struggling" to play a PC game?

Same boat here. A large catalog and minutes procrastinating.

My usual racing sim is Automobilista.
Online FPS is Team Fortress 2
Tried some horror FPS style games, enjoyed but in a masochistic sense, now too scared to resume... Have to be in the right frame of mind to resume (e.g. drunk).

When I turn on my laptop, I've got the choice of

Cities: Skylines
GTA V
Forza Horizon 4
Battlefield V
Unravled 2
Farcry 5
Kingdom Come Deliverance
Vampyr
Day of daylight of whatever it's called (zombie game)
Forza 7
Final Fantasy XV
Crash Bandicoot
State of Decay 2
Saint's row 4/5
Alien Isolation
UT
Fortnite
Just Cause 3
Rise of Tomb Raider
Half Life 2
Team Fortress 2
Counter Strike

And probably more but I can't remember them, the thing is, what do you play!?!?!? I normally default to Cites: Skylines, and the amount of choice I just end up not bothering looking at anything else.

Does anyone else have this dilemma?
Happens to me loads. The downside of too much choice imo

I used to be like this too. At one point I just deleted everything and that left me switching between Q3 Arena and UT. These days I keep one game, maybe two on the go. Mostly recently BF4 and BF1. Jump in for an hour or so as I just don't have the time anymore.

I'm actually so daunted by the sheer amount of unplayed games in my various libraries (and a PS4 since last year that's barely been touched), that I haven't played a game in literally months.

It's bizarre. My 12-year-old former self would be horrified :p

Im literally stuck where whenever I have time to game I usually just fire up BF4 hainan resort and play away. I eventually bought BF1 last christmas but played a few rounds and it was so sluggish I will never go back. Hope 5 is better but dont have money to buy yet anyway.

Also I need a new ssd as I’m out of storage for all the games I dont play:D

After reading this thread, I've resurrected Fallout 4 and an now actually getting into it.

I think it's a case of picking something and forgetting everything else until it's done.

I think struggle is now an appropriate word. I can't use keyboard and mouse for the life of me. Since playing with Xbox controller for the past 10+ years, the keyboard is just so alien to me. My fingers keep slipping off the keys or I end up pressing the key next to the one I want to press. It's driving me nuts and I'm getting really annoyed with myself and the keyboard.

lol it was the opposite for me I was fairly good at BC2 with the controller on the PS3 way back (2009?) but I switched to PC when BF3 released and got up to speed fairly quickly. Out of boredom(lazyness on the sofa) I tried to play BF4 on the PS4 over the weekend and it was a real struggle to get used to, my aim was way off and turning felt so sluggish. Still had fun though.

I got bored of Witcher 3 had it since release, completed the main campaign and heart of stone Probablya couple months ago. Im quarter of a way through blood and stone. On a break from it fired up Divinity 2 got half way through act 2 stopped last month. Keep going back to total war games. I will go back to the above games as they are good but just got a bit burnt out.

Something I learnt though is for my next build instead of getting a storage bigger than my 1t SSD I'll probably get a smaller 500gb m.2 or SSD as it'll be cheaper and faster and won't have about 10 unplayed games installed on there. 1 or two games on a computer is plenty and with a reasonable download speed I won't be waiting ages.

Glad to see that I am not the only one that sometimes get bored of games, or just gets lost for what to play. I always seem to default back to Dead By Daylight at the moment. I do have too many games I want to play but never seem to have enough time with the speed of games being released. I end up with too many games by the end of the year. Definitely need to slow down the rate at which i buy games. Gotten half way through Dark Souls, but still have DS 2 and 3 to play aswell. They keep me interested until I find some boss that is ridiculously hard to beat.

My problem is I can't let old games go. I have been stuck in a repeating cycle for the last 5 or 6 years where I would rather re-play an old game for the nth time which I *know* will be good, rather than commit to a new game from the, now standard, stupidly massive steam sale backlog. I'd rather fire up Hearts of Iron 3 again for the umpteenth time as play as someone like Papua New Guinea, or Stalker again for the 6th time, than fire up GTAV, which even that I bought years ago in a sale, never to be played probably. A notable recent exception to this was Factorio, which is ok as that is actually a narcotic.
