Who is the stig?

Well, I saw the stig for real when I went to watch top gear being filmed. You really can't see anything through the visor and he doesn't put the suit on in public.

Last years Renault F1 test driver was suited as the Stig at one point too.

I reckon it's [TW]Fox.

But the stig doesn't stop acclerating at 70mph to get good MPG!!

Yup. The H&SE report in the Hamsters crash just about confirms this by listing Ben Collins as a racing driver who has been working with Top Gear carrying out the performance testing of many of the cars and who also provides much of the driver training on the show.
