Presumabnly an extender allows you to relay the tv to another location.
I would buy mce
1) its cheaper
2)if you get a compatible dvb card you can use it as a tv and vcr which it is rather good at.

How does that work? It is XP Pro SP2! The MCE part's just a bit of branding and another application. It even asks for the XP Pro SP2 Disc during the installation.sormicoft said:media centre also seems bloody stable in comparison to xp sp2
It's not really. There's been a Media Center Edition as far back as 2002 - it's not really a new idea.Mason64 said:its basiclly a windows M.E its a O/s to keep people happy till they bring out the new O/S Windows Vista

Hardly a media library is it?
Colbaker said:I belive You can stream the media over a network so you can have as much storage for you media as you like, My uncle has this set up on his 360 and it is a really good add on, Although the machine it connects to needs to have media center edition installed.
Just google for MCE and Domain. It's not that hard to get round.bluesouljah said:Doesn't join domains, bad move.Don't mind running through a subnet, but not that happy when I want to have a main PC trying to link to an 360.
