Who needs a PSP with one of these bad boys...

Too big to fit in your pocket like a pda and too small to be practical like a laptop.

Why would anyone use these? They cost more than laptops and have worse specs.

For Example,

Zepto Znote 6214W £702.35

14.1" 1280x800 TFT
2.0 GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo T7200
2048MB DDR2 667/PC5300 Ram
160GB 5400rpm SATA Harddisk
Nvidia Geforce 7600go 512MB
Intel® PRO/Wireless A/B/G 54Mbit
8X DVD-RW Dual Layer
Internal Bluetooth®

Easily beats those handhelds.

Yea the spec is fine but I think Zepto are trying to take the crown from IBM for having those most fugly laptops :p

thing about a PSP is all the games on it are developed specifically for the PSP, so it's never going to have any real trouble playing anything that's officially released for it.

People seem to be missing the point of it all.

Do you have other halfs that moan about your PC usage, seems like plenty if the other thread on GD is anything to go by.

I have been using a Samsung Q1 for over 10months now and it is a social computer.

I can sit on the sofa with the missus with my mini PC and use the internet, watch movies, listen to music, play WOW, do work using Office 2007, outlook, remote desktop.

I use it for at least 3 hours everyday and she doesnt mind because I am not stuck in the back bedroom being anti social.

I tried a laptop but she seemed to resent this big computer on my lap.

They really are great little machines.

If your on the sofa why would you use that to watch movies and listen to music when you have a tv right in front of you?

A 12" laptop would probably be the same size as that.

£800 just to avoid watching the Mrs' programmes seems a bit excessive to me.

Too expensive and doesnt offer anything that revolutionary or exciting. You cant really game on it or do office work on it either, its too small. It has "spectacular failing" written all over it like Gizmondo.

Sounds tempting on that point, I spend all my time in the spare bedroom with the computer as I cant stand all the rubbish the mrs watches on TV.
