Over the last month or so every weekend my dad has been beavering away splitting our garage into two halves, and then turning one half into a games room. He's done it mostly single handedly, the only help being half a day from an Electrician he used to work with, and the old helping hand from me and my brother when we've been home for the weekend (we're both living away at Uni).

Took some finished photos last weekend and am rather chuffed - can't wait til Easter to get some use out of it! I think we owe him a few pints!

Not got a footie table, but air hockey is much more fun :) Just need to pick up a refurb pinball machine or something like that

Ducati is Dad's.

Beer fridge and optics going on the wall you can't see in the pic along with a cupboard (standard kitchen sized, 1 wide) with a bit of worktop for drinks glasses etc.

Looks like youve taken out a bit of a supporting wall there mate !

You might wake up in your garage next week :p

But a cool room nonetheless. :D

How much do you get paid to do building surveys from your PC, where did you learn this, i want in. ;)

You don't even know there is a room above his garage!

No room above the garage.

The wall was added when the last owners (my grandparents) had the oil tank installed and wasn't part of the original structure anyway.

I'd have kept the bike in there too. A friend of mine kept his in his living room, right next to his TV. Funny thing is, you got used to it after a while. I'd have done the same but for the cats who love the opportunity to walk all over it...

He would have liked it in there really but there's not enough room.... someone would end up hitting it as they were playing pool.

We couldn't make the games room any bigger without making the garage too small (as it is, it takes up about half the garage, we litterally just split it in half). In fact, if you look at the top picture hte new wall has gone across roughly where the rear axel of the lawnmower is.
