Who say's Graphics aren't important?

Good points all - but I guess my original point was, a game is a game irrespective of the looks. I LOVE good graphics, but that wouldn't make me play, say, an RPG if I didn't already enjoy RPGs.

A good example is G.R.A.W. A lot of people used to hate squad based shooters, but (IMO) because of the GFX, people are buying it left right & centre. At the end of the day though, it's still a squad based shooter.

What about people who already own/played the Xbox/PS2 version of Burnout Revenge, but still bought the 360 version?

In my case I'm doing it for the enhanced online features, plus the fact I've not got overly far in the Xbox version so I don't mind doing it again.

It will be interesting to hear what you think of the 360 version then, as you have played the Xbox version :) I think a lot of people in the other thread are experiencing Burnout for the first time so naturally they're going to be blown away! I know I was.

gettting mine today also, trading in Kameo for it as i have finished the single player story 100% (great game BTW not played such a nice enjoyable game since Zelda on the GC)

I had the PS2 version as the kids had the xbox version upstairs and i nearly completed it. Knowing what fun i has with the PS2 version i know for a fact that i will enjoy the xbox360 version and replay it all again with all the HD goodness.

Burnout series is one of my fav series anyway so i must have it in my collection anyway. Just want a SSX game now

i think the fact everyone is buying the 360 games atm is because there arent many available. When there isnt many titles available for a platform everyone scrutinises every game and it makes people buy games that normally they wouldnt touch.

As I see it there isnt much if any call above wow factor to buy a 360 atm, there are still hundreds of better games I havent played from this generation.

id accept i was one of those, i currently have NFS:MW, PGR3, DOA4 and PDZ that i normally wouldnt play just as there on the 360... although i took PDZ back a week or so later after an hour of horrid play and plan to take DOA4 in for trade in for elder scolls.... i would also say that this has got me into racing games more as i never got on with them before so not all bad

on the other hand i have just got a PSone and restarted again FFVII as from all the games since (barr maybe FFVIII) i still havent had anything like such an enjoyable gaming experience even if the graphics are now dated im still looking forward to a good long session on it.

also: if a remake was made with modern graphics and a few little extras (voice acting???) how many people would go out and get a better looking version of FFVII if one was offered

I came from playing PC FPS and normally would not buy a squad based FPS because I did not like that style of game because of the slow pace you have to play them. On the PC I'm a bit gun ho and like to run about like a one man army.

I bought GRAW for the 360 because I got it for £25 and if I didn't like it I could easily get my money back and I am very pleased I did buy it. To me it seems this type of game works well with a control pad because you have more time to aim and take out your ememies.

I am enjoying the experience of GRAW a lot more than PDZ and I did stick with PDZ and tried to play it but GRAW for me works so much better.

For me the graphics are not good or bad as I am enjoying it too much to notice really and the graphics did not influence me originally buying the game.

I definitely would. Although I'm sure there would be points where I'd say "The original was better!" I would still love to see it. I think graphics do add the quality of a game but at the same time old games are still good even though they have outdated graphics.

Put it this way, you would scoff if a proffesional game dev company released say a PC game now with SNES era graphics. More is expected of them.
