Who uses invert mouse for FPS games?

I'm guessing it's mostly old-school players that do. Personally I tried reverting back to normal mouse movements and couldn't aim at all. Invert mouse all the way!

It's just what you're used to I imagine, I can't see any reason why using inverted would be any disadvantage if you're used to it.

Now, you would be a freak if you used inverted and were left handed :D
 
Well I've been playing games ever since the VCS2600 was released, so I guess you could call me an "old-school" gamer. That said though, I don't know how anyone could play with the mouse inverted. For me, it's push it forward to look up and backwards to look down all the time in FPS games.

The only time the opposite is used for me, and that isn't inverted, is when I'm flying one of my simulators and the joystick behaves just like a real world one.

think about it. as you tilt you head forward, you look down. tilt your head back to look up. makes sense to me. :D

edit: not that i'm arguing, it's just all about personal preference. :cool:
 
Another inverted-mouse deviant here!

Oddly enough, my 8-year-old nephew has no problems switching between inverted/non-inverted mouse in different games. I guess I'm just too old and stuck in my ways: if I change it I just run around looking at the sky or the ground half the time.
 
Always used inverted controls ever since I played Falcon on my Amiga with a Mouse. It just feels natural to me with inverted controls. Not only do I have to use inverted mouse and controller on my PC, but I also have to invert the thumb sticks on joypads on my console games as well :eek: It drives most of my mates nuts, they simply don't understand how I can play GRAW with inverted controls.

Has to be inverted for me, mouse or pad, for any game. Thats just how I got started back when fps first got big. Probably due to a lot of x-wing vs tie-fighter gaming too.

I was under the impression most people played this way tbh. :o

How about this, does anyone invert the x-axis? :eek:

The 1st FPS I played wity the mouse+keyboard setup was on Dark Forces 2:Jedi Knight, where inverted was the default setting.

I used to actually play Quake with just the keyboard back then :p
