Who uses invert mouse for FPS games?

Old skool invert freak here - the thought of trying to play with a non inverted mouse just makes me shudder  ;)

rofl ? Arrow keys are for people that need to know what key to press next...
" whats left again... Ah yea got it... "

;)

a prefer arrows because of the space around them means you dotn realy need to think about anything.

Delete - Reload
Left Ctrl - Prone
Left Shift - Crouch
Enter - Jump
NUM0 - Run
NUM1 - Zoom

Now thats a set up. Killing machine.

I used to have to invert every game I played.

Yet, when I started playing World of Warcraft in '05, I never bothered to toggle the invert switch for some reason. After getting accustomed to playing in this fashion, I now find it incredibly difficult to play anything inverted. Very strange.

I don't invert my mouse here, its what you get used too I suppose, the only exeption I would invert my mouse (if i didn't have a joystick) would be when i fly plains etc

Off topic, like the sig, although I preferred the London Underground song, and the Ronan Keating parody "You look like s***, when you wear nothing at all".
I like them all, but I'm Dr Jones, medicine, oh you know...

Arrows are for people with thick chunky fingers or people who uses tiny (i.e. laptops) keyboards.

So which is you?

I use to be an Arrow freak until I discovered my "more buttons" in the WASD area...

Arrows. Non-inverted.

Arrows because it is what I used since Wolf3D and it stuck.
Non-inverted because the first FPS game I played with mouse aiming was UT and that was non-inverted by default...

I played doom with keyboard only but as it wasnt proper 3d exactly and there was a kind of auto aiming I think, it was ok. You didnt have people flying through the air firing a gun like some terrible combo of rambo and bruce lee

I play everything inverted and its impossible to change back sorry. I guess it must come from flight simulators and joysticks on the older games.

Anyone who had experience with 3d previous to fps would have done it mostly in flight sims I guess since all the other games were 2d sprite based mostly.

I can remember flying between the metal strands of the golden gate bridge on f18 interceptor and of course there was the more arcadey f29.

Having experience with that made the inverted thing more comfortable to switch from keyboard to mouse and that was hard enough to do allready! I used to play at the local lan/internet cafe on doom 1 and the guy on the mouse trashed us badly

It is possible to change, just like it is possible to stop smoking. Its just a habit. I kicked both after many years because i was tired of having to change the default and smelling. Can't remember why i stopped smoking though....

I play inverted.

However I don't understand all the "heresy!" "I don't understand how you can play that way!" talk from both parties. It's just what you get used to and there's no right or wrong way. Unlike movement keys where there are definite advantages from certain setups (essentially central is better as it gives you access to a more keys).

My setup - mouse inverted, WASD usual, E jump, Q crouch, SPACE use, C lean right, Z lean left, LEFT SHIFT run if supported, RMB zoom. For every game.
