Those who will be getting one.... FE or waiting for a custom card? I am undecided personally but tempted to go back to water again but not sure I can be bothered to do another custom loop. I will decide nearer the time but what are you guys getting?

FE as I already run a custom loop and it'll be slot the 980ti out and 1080ti in. If your not fussed on going full custom what about the EK Predator range?

Yer, makes perfect sense in your case to grab the FE.

EVGA 1080 FE's unless they have a cheaper reference card up at the time like the superclock. both watercooled.

look forward to new shiny shiny. I plan to keep them until the next Ti (hopefully :D)

Shiny is good. I really wanted to hold off til Volta but I have my PC fund that covers the cost of a Ti and enough to buy the Wife a new Handbag, so all gravy here. I am leaning toward Gigabyte again, as the G1 has performed really well for me and saves me having to WC.... Hopefully Volta is a ways off though, so I have time to save again :D

Interesting to see so meny waiting on VEGA smart choice. For Nvidia to release the 1080ti at a "Cut Price" and also faster than the top tier GPU "Titan XP" YOu would think Nvidia has some inside information about VEGA performance! They didn't need to cut prices on the 1080 if they was confident enough the VEGA was a poor show.

The biggest news I take from this event and very happy with is all DX12 GPUs will now support GPU based PhysX or GameWorks About bloody time Nvidia. Now get of the high horse and enable Adaptive-sync for all your user base :D

It could well be a smart choice to wait for Vega but having nothing coming out of RTG was a little deflating. I understand they are releasing Ryzen and it looks to be a serious piece of kit and massive kudos to that but some news would have been great about Vega just to whet appetites. I stick by what I have said time and again though and I really do hope Vega kicks the TXP's butts and gives AMD the much needed funds to go toe to toe with Intel and NVidia. Much better for us consumers in the long run.

I cant decide on founders or custom either ... hard choice ! Really can't be doing with noisy gpus nowadays ... how bad is the 1080 founders compared to say the strix 1080 ?
I have had a few FE cards in my time and they are noisy buggers in truth and give me a custom cooled card (like the Strix) anytime over the FE unless you are water cooling :) I will be waiting for the custom cooled cards this time and MSI or Gigabyte for me :)

While I do agree, my mates Fe card isn't all that bad - it does overclock well, but tends to get a little noisy. It's certainly nowhere near the best cooling solutions and was priced awfully, but it doesn't deserve half the flack it goes.

I'm semi tempted to give this Fe a try, if it's crap or doesn't deliver on what they promised, just return it and go custom.

While I like the idea of water-cooling, I don't know if I CBA plus the horror stories of leaks. I use my PC for work, so any downtime is a serious problem.

Decisions decisions!
Yer, horses for courses and when I am gaming, the noise is fine, as I have my speakers drowning out the noise and when webbing, no noise at all as such. Water cooling is easy and just needs a decent plan of action and taking your time.
