Who will you be supporting this season?

I honestly don't know who to support this season.

alonso was growing on me but sometimes it's hard to be a fan of his especially towards the end of the season when he almost seemed to have lost the fire and massa started to get the better of him..

maybe I will try to like lewis, now hes becoming a bit more of the underdog considering the team he has chosen to go for, its a risky move for him and earned a lot of respect from me

I think my only other choice would be kimi but how lotus have started to rape what made him unique has sort of put me off him a bit even though its not really his fault, its just how F1 is these days

Lewis primarily but all British drivers....

Team wise, I want to say Mclaren but something about them leaves me feeling empty. Maybe I perceive them as being to mechanical, not passionate enough... which is likely quite far off the mark.

I don't support anyone but normally root for the under dog or non arrogant driver.

I'd honestly would love to see Webber win this year, but then the conspiracist in me says he remained in Red Bull to be second best, hence why he never went to Ferrari or McClaren.

Also Kimmi is always a contender. Massa needs to outshine his team mate. Hamilton needs to show his brilliance in that Mercedes. So all the above drivers I'll be wishing all the best for 2013.

Never really supported a team, except Williams when I was a kid.

Alonso for me primarily this year as the last few years he's been head and shoulders above the rest. Who knows his time may be up but I'd love him to win this year.

Failing that Hamilton or Button although I've a feeling Hamilton is going to outscore Button this year even in the Mercedes. I've warmed to Hamilton over the years.

Ive always supported ferrari since i was a young lad and ill continue to do so, im a fan of Alonso and would like to see him pick up another championship, Massa i can take or leave.

I would also really like to see Hamilton do well in that Merc to see if he is as good as i believe that he is.

Big fan of McLaren too, especially when both drivers were british, now not so much but ill still root for Jenson.

Dont really care for any of the newer drivers or the lower teams.

I've never grasped the concept of 'supporting' anything in my life. lol So naturally i don't really care here either.
I think it was growing up in a town where 90% of males supported Newcastle United like their lives depended on it and I thought Football was utterly awful and instead followed Ice Hockey. The only ever instance of showing support was for Pittsburgh Penguins because the player I looked up to the most as a kid played there. Jagr.

Now..back on track (pun totally not intended because it sucked...)

I really enjoyed the races last year when the midfield teams performed well. So purely because I want good races I will be hoping the likes of Sauber, Williams, Force India, Mercedes and Lotus are competing at the front with the big 3.
The more of that, the more i'll be enjoying it.

Also...I like Lotus because I love Black and Yellow/Gold. (hence my original interest in Pittsburgh Penguins).
Romain IMO was a little hard done by last season and after a couple only minor errors, he had that big one and everyone came down massively on him and he collapsed under the pressure of that. However, before that accident he had shown quite clearly that he was more than able to match the best.
At that level, he should have handled the pressure of course but I still think he will shine this year if he has got over that during the break. Unfortunately he'll be asked about it constantly before even starting.

So because of that, I actually hope he shuts everyone up and performs.
At least he showed excitement and commitment and genuine speed unlike many of the others who I find very boring.

My favorite driver if I had to say one though is the Hulk.
I couldn't believe when he was dropped and feel he is one of the few younger drivers of recent years who does have the potential to mix it up at the front end in a better team.
I have a feeling that he will follow Perez and gain some good podiums with Sauber and then jump into a top team from there.
Mclaren missed out massively getting Perez instead IMO. I don't think he's ready but Hulk is.

So I guess despite not supporting anyone...i'd like to see certain teams and people do well because I feel if they do - then it will produce excitement.

Biggest shame is no Kumi he may have been a bit inconsistent but very entertaining and certainly better than quite a few who are racing this year.

Bottas will be interesting to watch and as mentioned if Maldanado can sort himself out then he has shown some pretty insane 1 lap pace.

Hamilton should also provide some fun mixing it up with the midfield teams trying to reach the podium when the big 3 fall short.

Button primarily, but interested to see how well Botas, Di Resta do (and Perez because I would love McLaren to start with a really decent car).

Detest Ferrari, but actually prefer Alonso to the annoying German at RBR (and really wish someone would break THAT finger off lol)

Always liked Williams because I grew up supporting them, but apart from mild interest in Botas Im becoming less and less interested in them.

For me it will just be for Ferrari again. I haven't really got any favourites with regards to drivers seeing as MSC has now retired (again) so I'm just looking forward to it being a close season with hopefully a couple of the midfield teams challenging for wins again.

RBR and Vettel for me as always.

However I will be keeping my eye on a few others.

Webber - Bit of a grumpy bugger but he makes me laugh, comes across pretty laid back most of the time and there is no BS with him. Would like to see him peform better than last year!

Grojean - He has potential, you cannot deny that. He made some utterly horrendous errors last year and I think he was lucky to retain his seat. However when he wanted to be, he was quick. If he keeps it clean but races hard, I think he will do well this year.

Alonso - He was so close. If he is going to do it, this will be the year (on the basis that next season is going to be different for all). I'm really looking forward to some great battles this season.

Massa- If he can start this season the way he ended the last, it's going to add even more good action into the mix.

Hamilton - I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of Hamilton and I don't really like the guy. That said, he clearly has masses of talent and I'm really intrigued to see what he can do with the Mercedes.

Leave me alone, I know what I'm dong! :D

British drivers and Kimi. If there was only one person to choose then it would have to be Jenson. A true gent and a bit of a hero, but both him and Hamilton for me this year.

I'll be in Shangai again this year and we should hopefully have our tickets sorted in the next few days . Back in the grandstand at the end of the DRS straight just before the hairpin again. Now I need some funds for a new L zoom lens :( :D
