Whoo, bought a credit crunch flat with a difference

From everything i am told, this is bad advice at the moment. We could well be seeing another whole year or more of ultra low rates.

What are you basing that advice on?

He is in a deal for 2 years so theres not much point speculating about it right now.

Base rates are closer to zero then ten, I believe both are possibilities nothing more complicated then that really

I dont follow what you are saying, do you mean to say that as far as you understand things you believe we will see rates climb soon? I was wondering what you had been reading as i would be interested to read that viewpoint? :)

balcony on main bedroom needed, reduce bed4, stay with the ensuites, we too dont have a house bathroom, every bedroom has own, except the one which is dedicated office and where i am now sat.
You'll get used to 6km2, we did, and our lounge is waaaay bigger then yours, 72msquared.
Still struggle as to where the sofa's go, theres too many of them.

Question, how and why did you pay a mortgage for 11 months when you didnt own it?

He says in his post that he didn't have to pay the mortgage (obviously).

nice flat mate :)

seeing that makes me wanna plan all the electrical things on it :p

and it seems a fairly decent price for it as well, but saying that i don't know much about english houseprices but in switzerland you probably wouldn't find such a big flat for that price

Bedroom 4 will now become a games room, the ensuite will become a office and the dressing room will become a gym.

The mezzanine level will be bedroom 4 with a small Velux Cabrio instant balcony as seen here:

The we will put a shower in the WC.

as you said I think we will get accustomed to the space, the lounge including the dining area is 91m2 but a lot of is lost due to the slope of the roof.

congrats mate :)

Thanks m8, come over for a drink when its done.

Yah we got lucky. it should be worth around 50 to 80% more then we spent on it when done.

it wont be worth way more than you paid, a valuation is not indicitaive of actual value, trust me, do it for a living
Mrs herble
p,s come and see ours anytime, paid 272k for the basic one acre 3 bed bungalow, extension cost 200k, so its worth a visit, 6 bed, 5 bath now, with quad-ey garage off the lounge and 10 meters of glass in lounge alone, and No, its not finished yet, had to go back to work, ran out of money. Steel and glass balcony was ridiculousy pricey, but worth it. Dont get fancy high gloss black kitchen unless you want a cleaner on staff.
