Who's the best narrator?

Attenborough, Freeman and Piggott-Smith (his work on military things such as Battlefield is great). Also, Laurence Olivier's narration of "The Wiorld at War" is stunning.

I quite like Chris Barrie and Robert Lewellyn - but I'm a Red Dwarf fan so a bit bias.

Haha I'm the same, if there's some documentary for example the Chris Barrie Engines one I can't help but watch.

You can't beat Attenborough or Morgan Freeman really though can you?

Yeah, there was a woman who narrated some docu on the Royal Family - I think it was behind-the-scenes at Windsor Castle. I can't remember what the programme was nor her name. Oh. It might be Barbara Flynn.

Bettany Hughes isn't bad, but I don't think she's in the same league as some of the greats mentioned here.

Overall I would go for Morgan Freeman.

But if you mean just in the UK I would say David Attenborough hands down.
