Whose Line is it Anyway?

I don't know if any of you will be interested, but Paul Merton is doing an improv tour next year in much the same vein as Whose Line, and Mike McShane is going to be one of the improvisers.

http://paulmerton.com/improchums.html I'm planning on attending three shows, just to see how different they all are! :p And so I don't miss out on any of the 'special guests'. ;)

both uk and us are great, colin and ryan are great as a pair and have running jokes through all the us series, i aquired them all a year or so ago and still watch them.

colins dinosaur impression is legendary

One of my all-time favourite shows.

I preferred Clive's dead-pan staying-out-of-it hosting, Drew just kept trying to steal the show for himself.

Slattery was always good, also Proops, but Merton always seemed to fail to use his imagination...

Ryan and Colin will forever be legends. Agreed about Colin's dinosaur! Also Ryan once imitated a dying fish which had me collapsing in fits of giggles.

Quality show :)

I must say, I do enjoy how much Drew appears to enjoy the show as he's a lot more energetic than Clive, but overall I do much prefer Clive Anderson.

Also, Laura Hall.... Daymn.

Can't believe some people don't like the US version, it has some great moments. Drew Carey is very annoying but the fact that he loses all the banter battles so embarrassingly more than makes up for it! The episodes where there's a running joke are always best:

Without a doubt my favourite game on Whose Line:

I can't find my favourite Film Noir clip though, but they're all pretty damn funny all the same. :D

It's a great show - started on the radio *very funny there* then moved to C4.

Still listen and watch them now. Always looked forward to shows with GreG, Ryan and Colin. Having seen Greg Proops live he's actually better on WLIIA...

Went to see one of the Impro Chums shows a few years ago and it was great. I'm a big Paul Merton fan but Steve Steen was by far funnier on the night, shame he isn't in the cast list for the '10 tour.

Josie Lawrence was the special guest in Belfast.

Thank you! I now cannot wait. :p Paul Merton is probably my favourite comedian of all time so if there are people that are funnier than him, then that can only be good. :p

Also, if Josie Lawrence was the guest before, who knows... Maybe I might get lucky. ;)

You might score. ;)

Richard Vranch being there will probably make it more enjoyable, given the musical element that (I assume) he'll be adding.

One of the best bits is where Paul disappears into the back (along with someone from the audience) and the crowd and remaining cast have to come up with a job title. Then Paul comes back and tries to guess what this job title is.

As you can imagine, the job titles suggested are ridiculous ones. I can't remember all of it and it was far whackier but the gist of the one in Belfast was 'someone who stands on a stool to brush Peter Crouch's teeth'.

He got it as well. :D

You've just made me forget about Christmas and look forward to spring too much. :D

Paul is an extremely intelligent guy, and it makes me curious about how many other potential Paul Mertons are out there given that he failed his Metalwork CSE and was never 'academically intelligent'.
