Only got my hands on Halo last week, thought i best see what the fuss was about. Blasted through it now (much to the wifes annoyance, we've only got the one pc and she couldn't get on it :D) and it was great fun. Took a fair few goes to get through some of the more "bullet magnet" areas and i've developed a serious problem with the phrase "down in front", i never heard it without exploding shortly afterwards :(

And now i've found i have to buy an xbox to play halo 2 :( arse.

What quite enjoyable to find a game without any cheats, means you have to actually play the game, not just jump the hard bits.

Anybody wanna lend me a xbox for a couple of weeks over xmas? :D (worth a try!)

It will also only run on Vista.

Hmm, so i'd need to buy a microsoft product either way to play the next halo? Bills mob don't miss a trick do they ;)

I enjoyed halo 2. Some of the graphics (especially in the cut scenes) were pretty decent... never got round to finishing it in co-op mode tho - perhaps something to do over the xmas period... have to admit i never really followed the story line as well as the first - perhaps due to playing it in dribs and drabs now and then...

HALO was great, apart from the flood LOL, never did play it on the PC tho, was Xbox, might pick it up if I see it going cheap.

Buy a 360, so much better for gaming than a pc anyway and you can play halo2 in emulation till halo3 is out, there are lots of other games that make it worth it

sorry i might have once been among the PC hardcore but nowadays unless you like mmorpg or fps pretty much everything else is better on a console and with none of this stupidly expensive need to upgrade every 20 seconds or upgrade every component in your system for the sake of SLI

Any good race sims or flight sims on the 360?

:D

are there any good flight sims on any format, i mean really you make this on screen object fly around in loops, or simulate a flight between two airports and the entire time your sat at your pc or on your sofa, do you at any point experience the thrill of flying...

race sims, project gotham kicks ass but its not the only one

He was right the first time... gay...

No - not really.
Go take a read of all definitions of the word gay and then come back and post how this particular computer game is indeed gay.

The use of said word puts people in the same category as those that use M$ and Micro$oft - really rather silly.

Of course, if you buy an Xbox360 you can play Halo (the way it was meant to be played), Halo2 and not worry about having to buy one later to play Halo3.

You'll also get Gears of War :).
