Why am i using up to 16GB of pagefile???

I have 16GB of RAM, but in games i only use around 8GB of RAM yet use 16Gb of pagefile?
Really can't make sense of it!

Is it actually being used or is it simply showing the allocated pagefile ammount that can be used?

You can set the pagefile size manually to a much lower value if desired.
