Why are no games 'interactive' like Crysis?

I remember when Crysis came out and it was supposed to be the first of a generation. It was brilliant with destructable environments - even the foilage moved as you brushed past it. I know other games have some of the features (BF3 and 4 etc) but I think it's a real shame we don't have it in the likes of Skyrim or Fallout 4. Imagine how good they could be with destructible trees? mines laid in the right place could make epic traps in Fallout 4.

Such a lot of potential that is lost when these things aren't added...

Time consuming/expensive to produce

Lower standard in gameplay with higher graphic standard and limited resources

Lack of interest in pushing the gameplay in that direction for the developers

Can be any number of reasons. The original red faction for me was ground breaking. I would spend all my time in multi-player collecting rockets to make rocket tunnels and find secrets on the roofs of buildings. Launching nukes underground to create caverns.

I loved Red Faction Guerilla. The multiplayer was so much fun, killing someone on the floor above you in a building by jetpacking through the floor.
