Hi all. Hope you can help with this.

Basically a network cable of mine got damaged so i've cut away the damaged bit and tried to crimp a fresh RJ45 connector on the end.

Now i've done this a few times before but not for a good while. I always used to just strip the main wire back, line the little wires up into the head and clamp it shut.

But i'm trying that now and i've had three goes at it and it doesn't seem to work. When I plug it into the computer it just thinks there's no network cable attached.

Is there something obvious i'm missing here? I went white/orange - orange - white/green - blue - white/blue - green - white/brown - brown.

Thanks.

Its back to front. The colour order is correct, but is done from the side you took the photo from. i.e. orange/white on left.

Oh for **** sake. Three times i've done this, must have made the same mistake every time.

What the hell is wrong with me? :D
