Why are there more console posts?

I can read perfectly fine thanks ;)

I gave stalker as being pretty much one of the only PC games that didn't make it onto the 360. There are plenty of games on the 360 that are more than decent, and some of them are even being ported to the PC now ;)

May i add that:

Pc games to consoles work.

Console games to Pc don't.

So PC users are getting the short end of the stick?? :D

Yes, because they try and get your inferior console games to PC format and they end up really boring and generic looking :p

Whereas if you start with a superior PC game its easy to transfer it across :p

So it's simple, the cheaper machine gets the better games :p lol

I seem to remember various times standing in the game shop wondering what on earth to buy, i felt i had to justify spending all that money on a console. It comes down to preference, personally i thought the majority of the 360 games were a lot of crap. Very few like Gears of War caught my attention. I also have to add that i'm 50/50 MMO's and single player, you just dont get MMO's on consoles. Multiplayer games yeah but mmo's no.

Oh yeah.... plus on a PC we dont have to pay 45 quid a pop for games. Hmm wonder whats the cheapest in the long run then ;)

Only when the games start off on consoles, we get a lot of quality games on the pc that you just cant get on consoles. Uplink will be a classic game but i doubt it will ever appear on a console, theres loads more as well.

i really only use consoles for sports/fighting/racing games with the odd splinter cell style game thrown in. I haven't been able to use my wii in over a month due to a broken hand so im yet to finish the latest splinter cell game :(

Yeah, granted MMO's are lacking, but Sony are working on that, with their own MMO's and ncsoft's projects.
I too am a single player gamer and get along fine with the 360.
Well most games you get for about 35 online so after 100 games you may split the difference, but by then the PC will have been upgraded however many times lol

On a serious not though, on a bang for buck, nobody can deny that the 360 is fantastic value, and with great titles. It pretty much has all the big PC titles, plus some of its own before the PC gets them (like GRAW2, GoW)

Also the sitting in a couch playing on a TV can be more appealing to folk than sitting on a chair infront of a monitor. It boils down to value and taste really. The only PC game i am interested in coming out in the near future is QuakeWars, everything else of interest will be out on the 360, appart from maybe Crysis, and sure that looks pretty, but not pretty enough for me to warrant dropping at least a grand on.

*sits on fence* both are equally as good, both have their bad points and good points. :) Personally, I do play more games on my PC because of the wider range of games available, cheaper purchasing price, and better control methods. The 360 is easier as a 1/2 hour pick up and play session, while PC's I tend to spend longer sessions on (hours). That's my 2p. :)

That's actually surprising to me as you seem a bit of an FPS fan. Most FPS players swear by PC's for it. Never really got into them myself.

Most new PC games can be bought online for 17 quid btw ;)

Out of interest, what games?

What PC games does it have?
DiRT, Oblivion, RS:V, GRAW, GRAW2, TDU,Lost Planet, GoW, Shadowrun, CoD2, C&C3.
Will have bioshock, Alan Wake, UT3 (well the PS3 has it at the same time as the PC, 360 a bit later), MOH:A, COD4, Haze
Plus it also has games that wont make it to the PC.

I have honestly been thinking recently of upgrading my PC, and i just can't justify it.
Different strokes for different folks i presume though.

Edit, sorry i though Mass effect was coming to PC also, though i dare say it will wind up on it.

Apart from Oblivion and Call of Duty 2 i'd hardly call the others "big titles" in the PC scene. As for UT3, why on earth would any even casual FPS players choose a console over the PC to play it given the chance?

Because as i have said times before, a console costing £200, £300 playing a game looking probably the exact same as a PC which cost almost 10 times as much, then yeah they will, especially if they are casual. Once you get used to playing on a pad, many folk don't bother.

Ehh?? no decent games? Most of the PC games are on it. The last PC game i bought was stalker, whereas i buy a console game often weekly.

The only games id consider buying for 360 are on PC aswell and are generally the better version, Not to mention can be had for £20 on release compared to £40-50 for 360.

A saving of £20 per game, per week in your case for a year would easily pay for a good gaming rig, about £1100

Hee but for me the games i would consider buying for PC are on a console, and i don't think the PC would be a better version, if so it will be marginal and then down to preference.
And even then every 18 months to keep to a great level of detail my PC would have needed an upgrade. Many folk on here will have made at least 1 upgrade in the past 19-20 months, to get a game looking and running pretty much the same as a console game.
But at the same time, the amount of console exclusive games that appeal to me far outweigh the amount of PC exclusive titles.

Ohh yeah and C&C3 isn't a big title? some would say you can't control an RTS with a pad, but they done a good job (and that's a game i own both version of :))

Some intresting replys. This better not start into a consol vs pc war though because its obious PC kicks consoles ass haha :P

I love pcs because i can mod games. If id bought oblivion on xbox 360 it would have lasted me a week perhaps because now i have 7gb of mods of oblivion and cant play with out them lol.

I was suprriced people were saying consoles better value. Dont want to spend much on pcs etc. Yet your a regular member of an overclocking forum ? I gues overclocking is ment for getting the most out of cheaper stuff.

Still... id rather just spend the 1500 and sit there feeling happy that its most beaster then my 360 which is far better value for money and i can play it on a far bigger screen... with surround sound and the biggest subwoofer i ever seen... tho i do have tht on pc, its just tht subwoofer makes my dog run away in fear :P lol.

But i think its worth building that over the top pc so i can say i have. So i can feel proud that its mine and i made it :) ... Till you find me spamming "My pc wont boot help!!!!11one" lol

:EDIT:

Out of curiousity... How many of you would rather buy a console then upgrade a pc to play many up and coming games? Rember, the PC will overtake consoles, they always do just not in the first year or 2 of a new one coming out. Also, keyboard and mouse is generaly better then gaming pad. Also mods.

I for one would rather play on pc.

I have to point out that although we may upgrade frequently it's not for no reason. We upgrade, technology moves on, programming moves on.... graphics move on.

It's no different whatsoever for consoles except instead of an upgrade you pay 4 or 500 quid for the new version of the console. The problem is that your console updates dont come along anywhere often enough. whilst consoles seem all shiny, it soon wears off as the years pass and PC's move on while they don't and you have to wait for the P.S. 4/5/6 being released.
