Why aren't beards more popular?

I have a goatee + tash. Last time I shaved them off I felt like I'd just hit puberty. Much prefer my face with.
 
I think it's because most jobs require you to not have it coupled with the fact that hollywood has made women think only girly men with abs and justin bieber hair are hot.
 
Depends on the person, some people just cannot pull off a beard, plus modern media seems to want everyone to think that manly beards are the realm of the poor and unwashed, and that metrosexual face pubes are the new in thing apparently.

Personally I grow a beard, because I am a student and it makes me fit in better with the locals out here.
 
This kind of beard... sexy as hell.

Main reason I don't whinge when the OH puts Spartacus on ;)

You see, that second fella, if you remove all of his beard, and put some where the gap is at the bottom, that's what I've got :p

It's like my arch enemy, or we'd interlock (:o)
