Why buy a K CPU and never overclock?

I must admit I just bought a 6500 and overclocked the buggery out of that. Saved myself 50 quid and for the price difference I just couldn't warrant paying the extra for a processor I won't utilise.
I think a lot of people get "badge" fixated do you want to break a known record well yes go get yourself a 8 core and some LN you want fluid gameplay well 100fps isn't really that much different from 90fps not that you would notice anyway.
