Hi guys,

So this is a fresh build.

Works perfectly but at the end of each session, the BIOS seems to wipe and I always have to boot up via the BIOS.

I have checked the CMOS, updated the MOBO and done everything I can think of doing.

Do you have any suggestions as to whats going on?

Much appreciated all.

Oh, and for the record, I have no idea why it thinks I have 3 mice

Do you have any beeps?

Could be a memory issue at boot, is it 1333MHz? Timings may be wrong.
Voltages for memory and/or CPU vcore. Try manual settings rather than auto for these. Vmem 1.65V
Vcore 1.45V, you can always refine this later.

good luck.

My initial reaction is CMOS battery is dead so settings don't retain at power off, its the cheapest thing to replace before you rip things out of your system. Get one from [popular online auction site] or [rainforest based online retailer] for less than a quid normally

If it's clearing the BIOS every time, it suggests the battery. It's inexpensive to replace and worth a try before doing anything else.

As an aside, the old machine I mentioned used to first reset it's date to 1961. If we forgot to change it, we got all kinds of funny dates in the BIOS and Windows - at one point it rolled back to 1899!
