Why did I catch stupid?

I understand what your saying but the point I am making is sometimes you can go out and drink little and drink sensibly but for some unknown reason be drunker than usual and end up having an incident, self control goes right out of the window

I don't normally get violent with drink and over 15 odd years of drinking I think I have had maybe 2 instances where I have got a lot drunker than expected with very little intake and ended up having an incident

I don't think I should stop drinking beacuse of that, although I don't tend to drink often these days anyways

It happens, and you don't go around getting drunk looking for potential punch ups :).

It's not my place to judge anyone anyway, just putting my opinion across. Drunken violence is sadly another one of those things that could be so easily avoided if people gave it a little thought.

That and if the thugs / chavs who seem to be attraced to drunken fisticuffs are marched into the ocean. :)

I regularly get the urge to walk home when I'm drunk :)

Doesn't seem to matter what time it is, where I am or how big my heels are :(

I used to get the urge to put traffic cones on certain speed cameras in Chester until I was caught one night and given one of those warning ticket things.

the problem with alcohol is its a depressant and can affect people in a variety of different ways, some people become relaxed, some lose their inhibitions and others become aggressive or violent

sometimes it can be a bit of a lucky dip on how the night will end :p

From my own experience people pretty much act the same way every time they drink though, maybe the behaviour can be more exaggerated at certain times but it is pretty much always the same.

The only time I have seen peoples behaviour alter from the norm is when they are drinking to drown their sorrows. That's just my own experience though... you make drinking sound like a horrible gamble on having a great night out of finding yourself locked up in a cell in the morning for thumping someone! :p

Say if you were feeling rough/tired before you got bladdered, this would have an impact on how you act under the influence right?

I did not feel good yesterday at all. Really shattered.

Not really, I'm not less tolerant I just leave earlier.

If I am very tired I don't go at all because why go if you are going to be tired and grumpy? It just puts a downer on everyone elses night out.

I'm not preaching at you by the way, I have a couple of friends who do turn violent with drink (and as a result need a friend to be put on and keep them in line...) the situation just boggles me though, if I turned nasty I just wouldn't drink at all.

This happened to me Friday night, and as im the biggest i got punched!

I agree with you mate.

Ive only been in an incident once which was when i went completely off the rails on holiday :(

I've also been punched for no reason other than I'm the biggest person. It's almost a shame I'm utterly harmless.

Some really nice people out there eh?
