man they are fun and nothing like sitting on yer sofa with a big screen for games... i still have the pc but i must be getting old as for the last week I preferred to boot up the box rather than the pc.

just bought a hard drive as well and im currently trying to get my hands on a wireless controller.

anyway happy christmas to all when it comes and i hope you get all your wants.

welcome to the wonderful world of the xbox!

if you're anything like me (and half the other 360 owners on OcUK) you're PC gaming days are numbered!

and happy christmas!

Good fun eh? :) Glad you're enjoying it.

Debating a console, can't decide PS3 (bonus of Blu-Ray) and it's quieter than a 360 - for movie playback as well as games.

i dont play mine to much these days to tired from work, but it certainly did stop my from gaming on my PC, havent done that for 2 years

i would have got a ps3 but i got the box for 100 quid if i can find i ps3 for 150 ill buy it hehe

I spent £1500 on a gaming PC and found it worth every penny. I also spend a lot of money on my 360 too and also find it worth every penny.

There are still games that I prefer to play on the PC. I'm a big fan of RTS games.

I also use my PC for a lot of work and watching lots of HD content.

It was nice playing on a 360 at my friends the other day. Sitting back on his comfy sofas playing CoD4 online with his nice big HDTV. Still unsure if I want a 360, just can't see myself reducing the time playing games on PC or stopping all together.

No real need for a PC for gaming, I have two in my home purely for internet browsing and media. I am more than satisfied with console gaming, I don't play a game and think graphics and performance could be better. It always looks superb to me :)

RTS games don't need anywhere near a £1500 PC.

Ive got PC, PS3 and 360 and use them all probably about equally. I just use whatever has got good games at the time. Enjoying GT5 Prologue on the PS3, World in Conflict on the PC and ermmmmmmmm well nothing on the 360 as Ive clocked all the good stuff.

Because PC's are money pits. I'll only upgrade mine to play Starcraft 2 but apart from that I'm not missing out on anything by not playing games on a PC.
Could've fooled me that PCs are money pits, I definitely get my money's worth. :)

It's down to the individual so if you think PCs are money pits I'd simply say upgrade intelligently, simple. If, like in your case, you simply don't play PC games except specific ones then stick to the platform you use and don't go generalising and telling everyone else that an entire platform is a waste of money. ;)

Spot on. If you have more than one platform just enjoy them all, and get to enjoy exclusives too. :)

£350 is fine for anything but games. £1500 is a ludicrous amount to spend just to play a few games, especially if you consider that you have to regularly upgrade to play the latest games (see where the money pit comes from yet?).

Chill.

I just can't justify upgrading my pc anymore. It could easily cost £1000 for all new guts etc and the rig wouldn't last half the time of a console.

If I had to choose between a 360 and a PC I'd go for the PC everytime, simply because most games on Xbox come to PC sooner or later, however this seems a different story for Playstation exclusives.
