why did MS release Vista 32?

Yeah but you can use the business 32 key to install business 64...

Well, the Ultimate CD seems to be capable of all versions, it goes by the serial, so, then, I could use the x64 DVD, and, with the Biz Serial, I would therefore, be LEGALLY installing the 64Bit Version of Business?

Ok, cool.

I dont have any trued need to change it from the 32Bit at this time, its on one of the LAN PCs and its working just fine, but what I might do in the next few days, is knock up a test PC and try it without activating... See what happens?

Thanks man.

will windows 7 be both 32 and 64?

That does seem to be the case yes as the Beta version I have is 32 bit plus there is still too many people with 32Bit hardware .

Quite honestly though, I fell thats a complete bloody waste. I feel that we should simply tell everyone who is on a 32Bit system to buck up and stop going so cheap! - Hell, with 2GB Dual core Laptops with 200GBHDs in them costing under £400 then there is no sodding excuses to buy a £250 Laptop and whinge if oyu cant run the latest O/S because its only got a 32Bit CPU can you?

But of course MS will release it with both 32 Bit and 64 bit and hold back progress once again, because thats where the money is.

The update is as folows: How long has Vista been on the market? And if you use the internet how many online sites allow you to use 64 bit applications online.
DivX is still using 32 bit and 16bit interfacing
Apple iTunes and Quicktime has only just migrated to 32bit, You have to have a 64 bit installer to install iTunes on a 64 bit Vista or XP pc.
Adobe have only just lauched themselves into the real world and gone 64 with CS4. You would think that a company that has a large corporate base like Adobe would be ahead, but they have let Corel steal into their market.
Adobe's Macromedia flash interface is "Dog" slow in 64 and still encorporates a 32 bit address book.
It took 3 month after the release of Vista 64 for the security teams to get their systems into gear. They obviously didn't think it would be popular.
The software development teams across the world forced most users to choose 32 bit because they only knew how to develop for 32 bit windows.
Certain hardware manufacturers like Creative thought they knew everything and got it wrong again and again and again....
Now Windows 7 is on the way. This time I am staying Beta until the software and hardware manufacturers catch up or catch the H5N1 Flu bug and die a miserable death.
The Internet software base is what is really slowing 64 bit operations down. Even Microsofts own fwlink server is still using 16 bit operands.
