Why do I hate Apple ?

I'm thinking of being a fanboi but not really sure who to root for. I mean I could go for Apple but it's a bit expensive, although they do have enough flaws to blatantly deny. It could be a good hobby any companies to suggest.

Lockheed Martin
BP
Goldman Sachs
Facebook
BAE Systems

Seems irrational to root for a loser tbh. Nobody ****s with the above, ergo you're always on the winning side.

I always wondered what would people's opinion be if Apple stuff are sold 50% off.

i.e.

13" MBP for £500
Mac Mini for £250
27" i7 Fusion with GT680 for £900

Cheap **** i assume.. :)

Na, I probably get apple stuff if i agreed with the pricing.

The products are very well designed, very clean and sytlish just too expensive for what they are in my opinion.. I think that's the only thing that puts me off..

I'm not really a massive fan of Apple at all. I have an iPod 4th Gen, but that's probably the last Apple product I will buy (unless there are no decent music playback devices by the time I want a new one- or I'll just use my phone).

I agree that hating on a company due to fanboyism is irrational and silly though.

I personally like the Android platform much better myself, but I understand that some prefer iOS.

Never been able to afford their stuff. Saying that I have a tablet PC, Notebook, Desktop and a smartphone.

As far as I am concerned their is nothing they build that you can't buy cheaper somewhere else. Ok, maybe my Windows phone, notebook and PC are not as good as their stuff but they do far more than I need and are very compatible with each other.

I am quite into Android as well now, so much available for it.

I am not into bragging rights so their is very little to attract me to Apple products.

Maybe if I was 16-24 I would care more.

This TBH.

However, I personally don't like iOS though (weather it be iPhone's of Mac's). I used an iMac for a GCSE music project a while ago, and I really didn't like it :p

Its because windows is deeply ingrained in your computing experience.

I used XP for a very long time, didn't bother with vista and I'm using 7 now and I still don't feel completely "at ease" or comfortable with it.

for someone not into bragging rights, you sure do list your devices a lot :o :D

This would make sense actually.

I remember a Windows 98 system ages ago, and then an XP (a lot of pinball playing happened on that).

I guess it takes a while to pick up on a different OS, but I found Windows 8 a lot easier to pick up than OSX (coming from XP/Win 7), and I've also played with Linux and that wasn't too bad (granted, the iMac experience was a while ago).

I agree that they are expensive, BUT is it not true that they do hold their prices much better?

Plus, an iPad is great for older (or simpler) surfers as it's just so damned simple to use. Only a tiny percentage of phone and tablet users need large amounts of depth and customisation. Most people just want to fire up Google, Facebook or their email accounts and potter about. I'd say iPhones and iPads are great for providing such degrees of ease-of-use. Plus, they have high-profile and well-manned stores that a buyer can retreat to for lessons, advice and fixes.

It isn't all black and white. Just buy what product suits you the most and let everyone else do the same.

never brought an apple product, disagree with almost everything they stand for.

What, exactly, do they stand for?

I am not into bragging rights so their is very little to attract me to Apple products.
.

Who buys anything for bragging rights, other than idiots?

(weather it be iPhone's of Mac's) :p

What? Aside from horrendous grammar Macs run OS X and iPads, iPhones and the iPod Touch runs iOS.

Both based on the same core but not the same OS.

Personally I've never looked at an overpriced Apple product and felt that I must own one.
There are far better phones out there, which are faster, have better features and aren't tied into a very locked down eco-system which cost a lot less.
When it comes to a laptop I want one that will run the important software packages.
When it comes to tablets I still say that I wouldn't get "that much" use out of one - so may as well purchase a much cheaper alternative.

The only Apple product I've been impressed with over the years is the iPod. I've owned two and still use the latest one. But anything else Apple I tend to rule-out early on because I buy for value and not for name. Value is certainly not a concept Apple understand.

Let's settle our argument, shall we? :-)
