Why do the BBC keep switching coverage between BBC1 and BBC2? Is it some stupid broadcast rules to do with the amount of time something can be shown on a certain channel or something?
Not really, it moved back from BBC2 to BBC1 because the news had finished on BBC1 - who would really think they would move because of Escape to the Country. WOWIt's not for the news though, it just changed from BBC2 to BBC1 for Escape to the Country...
The news doesnt move for anything - wouldnt be surprised if its in the Charter or just an established convention that all main channels follow - ultimately thats pretty much their primary purpose (C4/C5 maybe not).I don't know why they don't just keep it all on one channel and put all of the other stuff on the other instead of flip flopping around constantly.
How could this possibly be an annoyance?

Just watch the Olympic channels? They're not that much different.
I can't believe anyone is doing anything other than red button!
Sound advice here, quote below from a post I made on another thread:Just watch the Olympic channels? They're not that much different.
Sky satellite channels 450-473 contain BBC Olympic 1 to BBC Olympic 24, channels 474-497 contain BBC Olympic 1 HD to BBC Olympic 24 HD
I'm using a USB aerial at work so no red button and the internet is terrible so can't stream
