After just reading the Coronation Street thread, I have to ask, why do people who have no interest in the subject being talked about feel the need to post and tell people they dont care about it?

You have high post counts, so it is clearly not to improve your post coutn and get the members market.

Do you just like the way your text looks on the screen? may I suggest START > RUN > NOTEPAD ?

If you think the thread is stupid or you have no interest in what is being asked, why not STFU and go find something you do have interest in?

Some people do this and it's fine. Just expressing their opinion, which again can sometimes be expressed in the wrong place, at the wrong time in the wrong manor.

I hate it when there's a thread on say the 360 and you just get people coming in making smarmy little comments about how the PS3 is better, and vise versa. It's just gotten so old that it's unbelievable. I just don't bother reading/posting in threads such as ones I've just mentioned.

It's older than you think, I remember being at school and people arguing about which was better the NES or Master System. NES All the way.!!!

Anyway, what I was originally talking about was not about people having the right to express their opinions or debating. What I mean is when a thread has a title saying "Coronation Street: Guilty or Not Guilty?" why someone who has no interest feels the need to go into that thread in the first place?

If you dont like it, why are you reading about it? it's like being a vegetarian and complaining about the taste of your big mac?
