Since gettting my router a few months back to share my internet connection I've had to reboot the router a number of times to get my connection back up and running when it doesn't want to work.

It happened again today after I turned my PC off for the night for the first time in a long time and switched it on now. Is this a problem that can be fixed or something that just happenes every now and then?

Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router
Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter

Well I haven't changed the firmware and it's freezing in my room so start with uprgrading the firmware?

The other PC was off when I turned mine on today so I'm assuming it has othing to do with the PCI adapter although I have problems where once when I rebooted the router all my settings were lost and I couldn't figure out why the network wasn't working.

Firmware upgrade would be a good start. Are you using the Linksys firmware?

I assume so as I haven't upgraded anything. How can I find what version my router is and should I just stick with the Linksys firmware?

Thanks a lot for that. Just uprgraded everything seems fine so I'll see how things go.

Thanks again.
