Why does COD Have Its Own Rules?

How ironic because its you who comes across as being butthurt. Noobtube takes no skill to use, hence the name, so no I doubt they are complaining they got it 'handed to them' as its a complete contradiction. Its like saying you got owned by martyrdom, a perk that only triggers when you kill them

I don't even play COD. If you don't like the weapons people use, don't play the game.

For the record, when I used to play, I preferred to not used the noobtube.

You don't need to get wound up, its only a game.

What's funnier is people saying "You don't see real soldiers jumping about when they are shot at" :p

If anybody shoots at me I will jump as high & as far as I can. :D

first. the accuracy does not decrease ive had plenty of kills doing it before but i dont bother as it is ********

and where the hell did i give that scenario in camping. ******. i hate ****ing campers that are ment to be attacking but dont i dont give a **** about people covering the bomb or covering the points a and b. but i cant stand faggots that camp just to try and get every kill instead of even attempting to plant a bomb as most of the time these people are utter **** and loose the game for ya

I wasn't even talking to you directly and it's clear from the replies that the discussion has gone beyond COD but gamer behaviour/tactics.

^^^ you might wanna edit your post bro, mods will kill you for having a blatant swear.

More like, don't go around calling members things like that, he seems to already have no issues starring out the rest.
Personally I don't care about the words, more the attitude.

Funniest rule I've come across in COD, was a crouch only server. :D
Was actually quite fun, you could only run whilst under fire or from nades, all other times you had to crouch. :D

I think sketchytom must have hit the Rage button instead of the post quick reply button. :p

I've been playing fps since ut 99 and never have I played with any rules, I've always just played, get this - HOW I WANT TO

Unfortunately these unofficial 'rules' have been around even longer than that - I got chastised a number of times for taking the quad damage in Quakeworld if there were only 2 players on the server.

been on tactical crouch servers :D get banned if you stand up wtf :D

if you want a game of cod4 i play daily still add me on steam OcUK Dg !

I hate all these stupid rules admins apply it's ridiculous that you can't use a weapon that is part of the game, if some guy is spamming a grenade launcher just out flank him, sure it can be annoying but if you can't out smart a tactic it does not mean it is not a viable tactic, beside in most games the GL is a limited ammo weapon with medium to long reload speed, it should be easy to counter.
I tend not to use a GL myself but if the situation called for it say for clearing a camping sniper (also viable tactic I personally hate which can be countered) I'd use one without a seconds hesitation.

If you don't like the rules then rather than complain, switch to a different server or make your own with your own rules.

The rules about jumping is less to do about noob admins who can't hit jumping players, and more to do with the fact that there are lots of people who want more realism, and in real life you don't see special forces jumping around everywhere, and certainly not around corners. As for the weapon limitations, some weapons are overpowered and so are not allowed. If the devs balanced everything perfectly it wouldn't be an issue, but they didn't. noob tube for example, insta kill at long range with a decent size AE. In real life it is powerful but is limited heavily on ammo supply, in games like CoD there is nothing stopping players just spamming it and the game loses it's tactical/realistic gameplay (as realistic as a game like this can get).

Some people may prefer the arcade stype quake type games where you all just run around and it's less about tactics and more about fast reactions and accuracy, those people wouldn't like this type of server. Last thing I remember about CoD4 though is that it lets you choose a server, so if you don't like the rules how about you change server instead of complain? Those who pay for the server can do whatever they want with the rules, and the fact lots of people play these sorts of servers without issue shows that there are lots who what that type of server.

Bunny hopping was jumping constantly to move faster than regular running, in some games reaching pretty insane speeds... however nearly all FPS games for years and years have made it impossible - but admins basically now just mean "if you jump in the air whilst I'm shooting at you I'm going to blame that instead of my own crappy aim / reactions".

This rubbish annoys me the most, they don't know what it is nor the history of it, but enforce the dumb rule anyway. Most considered bunny hopping in BF2 to be jumping then going prone whilst in midair, dramatically reducing the profile of an enemy, making them harder to hit... in theory. You can't do that in BF3, but I was accused of bunny hopping in BFBC2 many a time, which I mainly did to avoid getting stuck on terrain rather than dodge bullets like Neo. The only people that complain about it are those incapable of compensating for it.

People cry "it's unrealistic" but so if running and side stepping at a constant predictable pace. If it were realistic we would have the ability to dive into cover.

COD is arcade, let's not pretend that it isn't.

Indeed, it's the norm in PC gaming to have rules... How the OP ever got by without joining a game server with rules is unfathomable.

If you want to play the game how you want to, why doesn't that apply to the server admins who pay for the servers and all the people that want to play on them with those rules?

Some people get more fun out of it by trying to make it more realistic. It's perfectly fine if you don't like that, I just don't see the point in complaining when you are not forced to play on those servers, go elsewhere.

i also hate bloody campers when your in a hardcore search and destroy game.

lol, I don't understand the attitude. In Search and destroy one team is defending the bomb. If you are killed by "campers" defending the bomb, then they are doing their job. Conversely, if you are killed by "campers" in the attacking team you clearly aren't doing your job, which is to defend the bomb..? The only team that should be "camping" is the defending team because that's their objective - to defend the bomb! Get it yet?

In short, if you're calling someone a camper, you're doing something wrong and you clearly don't understand the game.

Edit: oh what a waste of a rant, he's suspended :p:D
