Hi all,

I've just set up my media centre and hooked it up to my TV. When I set the resolution to 1280 X 720 it cuts the edges of the screen off (shown below):

Does anybody know why it's doing this and whether there are any other settings I may need to adjust?

It's a Samsung 32" TV with a Nvidia 9300 graphics card.

Many thanks

Sorry I forgot to say, i've got it connected via HDMI.

The TV will only let me change settings for the HDMI source.

ATi card? If so, install the catalyst control centre and then you can control the size of the desktop to deal with the overscanning in that.

Have your tried setting it on 16:9 ?

It's already on 16:9 by default.

No it's an Nvidia 9300. Do you know if the same can be done in the Nvidia control panel?

Is there no 'just scan' option? my 32" Samsung has it for hdmi.

I don't seem to have that option. Can you point me in the direction of it incase i'm missing it?

In the Nvidia control panel goto display - Adjust desktop size and position
You can adjust the desktop size and position for analog display or TV, change the flat panel scaling for your digital display, or resize the desktop if you are using a HDTV.
