Why does my memory appear as Single Channel?

Do you have it in the correct slots for dual channel, usually slots 2 and 4. Also in bios enable xmp to get the ram running at its correct speed.

You need them in the orange or blacks slots.

i.e. counting from the cpu socket - slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 4

Interesting, if I go by the diagram in the manual, they are in DDR3_1, and DDR_3 - but EZ Setup Says 0 and 1.

Thanks - Enabled XMP - so I guess the speed looks better?

Still running in single channel. Counting away from the CPU, which slots are the modules in?

the slots are counted towards the cpu on that board, the furthest being slot 1 and the closest being slot 4. The ram should be installed in slots 1 and 3 if you only have two sticks.

The xmp setting is still rather low, are there multiple xmp profiles in bios? Your timings should read 10-12-12-31, 1200mhz ddr.

Thanks for your help everyone.

EZ Tune now give me some crazy figures which I don't think I'm going to go anywhere near, but know that my configuration is right.

Now for the next 16GB :-)
